BlackBerry Bold 9780 leaks, OS 6 and 512 MB of memory in tow

BlackBerry Bold 9780

It seems that we can’t go more than a few days without seeing a leak of a new, unreleased BlackBerry, and today we’ve got another one for you.  Salomondrin has posted photos of the alleged BlackBerry Bold 9780 running the new BlackBerry 6 OS.  The device looks extremely similar to the Bold 9700, but Salomondrin says that the chrome bezel of the 9780 is slightly darker than the one on 9700.  As for the internals, there isn’t much to go on just yet except that this new 9780 will reportedly sport 512 MB of flash memory.  However, if the Bold 9780 follows the leak patterns of previous ‘Berrys, we’ll seeing much more of this device in the near future.

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion occasionally catches some flak because some people believe that there isn’t much variation in the way BlackBerrys look, and this device doesn’t seem to break that trend.  Still, RIM’s devices are known for the quality of their physical keyboards, so why change a winning formula?  The fact that BlackBerrys are traditionally known as business devices is another reason that RIM wouldn’t want to mess with the looks of their handsets.  What do you make of the Bold 9780, dear readers?
