  • What is “Wireless Web Site”?
  • Wireless Web Site is a site designed specifically for mobile phones. Most mobile phones have built-in Web Browser which allows you to navigate the Internet using your mobile phone.

  • Do I really need a WAP site?
  • Currently, the number of mobile phone users in the world is exploding. Globally, mobile phone users outnumber desktop PCs. Mobile phone users have a huge user base, and mobile telephony already has a gigantic platform for communication–and this platform is growing every day. Now, imagine the emergence of a new technology — one that enables all these mobile phone users to access the Internet. A mobile Internet. With a thriving mobile Internet, m-commerce would not be far behind. The mobile Internet exists today. It is made possible by a new technology that links wireless devices to the Internet.

  • Where is “Site Name” used?
  • Some cellular phones display the name of the screen at the very top of the display – just above the “Welcome Message” on the samples provided.

  • Where is “Site Welcome Note” used?
  • Site Welcome Note is sort of a splash page, it’s the first thing people are going to see when they visit your WAP site. Site Welcome Note sample is displayed on the very first image.

  • Where is “Main Menu Title” used?
  • Some cellular phones display the name of the screen at the very top of the display – just above the “Welcome Message” on the samples provided.

  • Where is “Navigation Menu Title” used?
  • Take a look at the sample #2 – the “Site Sections” is the Navigation Menu Title.

  • What do you mean by the “Button Name”?
  • Button Name will be used to enter your site from the Main / Splash page – see sample #1 where “More” is the button name. Currently you have three options: More, Next and Ok.

  • What are “Sections”?
  • Take a look at the sample #2, the four sections you see – About Us, Services, Technology, Contact Us are the main sections (links) of the site. People will be using those to navigate through your site and read the content.
